Reactivación de Malla Vial del Meta impulsará la competitividad y desarrollo del departamento

• Tras el anuncio realizado hoy por el presidente de la República, Odinsa, empresa de concesiones del
Grupo Argos, reafirmó su compromiso de aportar a la conectividad del departamento y el país con la
reactivación de su proyecto vial de cuarta generación.

• En Malla Vial del Meta serán invertidos recursos cercanos a los $1.6 billones de pesos para 267,5
kilómetros que componen en el proyecto, el cual que generará alrededor de 3.000 empleos directos y
1.800 indirectos y aportará al mejoramiento de la calidad de vida de los habitantes de los llanos
Orientales.

• El proyecto está dividido en ocho unidades funcionales, las cuales incluyen los corredores Granada –
Villavicencio y Villavicencio – Puerto López – Puerto Gaitán.

12 de agosto de 2021. Odinsa, empresa de concesiones del Grupo Argos, continúa
avanzando en su propósito de contribuir a la competitividad y el desarrollo del país. Tras el
evento oficial de reactivación realizado por presidente de la República, la compañía reafirmó
su compromiso con el departamento y próximamente iniciará la fase de construcción del
proyecto de cuarta generación Malla Vial del Meta, a cargo de la Concesión Vial de los Llanos.

“Este hito representa para nosotros la oportunidad de seguir trabajando de manera decidida
y con un alto grado de compromiso para aportar a la competitividad y la generación de
oportunidades de empleo, desarrollo y progreso en el país”, indicó Mauricio Ossa, presidente
de Odinsa.


Las obras de este proyecto, constituido por 267,5km de vías, iniciarán en dos tramos
específicos: en cercanías del río Guayuriba, en el corredor que comunica a Villavicencio con
Acacías, y en el Puente de Yucao. En total, la Malla Vial del Meta, requerirá una inversión
cercana a los 1,6 billones de pesos para fortalecer la movilidad en los corredores
Villavicencio–Granada y Villavicencio–Puerto Gaitán, así como la prolongación del Anillo Vial
de Villavicencio con: 7.25km de vía nueva, 260km de rehabilitación, 26 kilómetros de
construcción de segunda calzada y 3 km de mejoramiento, 10,9 km de ciclorruta y otras obras
como puentes vehiculares y peatonales.


Coherente con su compromiso con la sostenibilidad, el proyecto será desarrollado bajo una
perspectiva integral que aporte la infraestructura requerida para la conectividad, contribuya
al desarrollo social y promueva el cuidado ambiental; por lo que entre sus beneficios se
destacan: el aporte a la generación de cerca de 3000 empleos directos y 1.800 indirectos,
que contribuirán a la reactivación económica de la región; la disminución de tiempos
desplazamiento en cerca de 25 minutos y la reducción del tránsito de tractocamiones por la
malla vial interna de Villavicencio.

Por otra parte, contará, entre otros, con proyectos encaminados a la protección de la
biodiversidad, capacitación a las comunidades y programas de cultura vial para disminuir los índices de accidentalidad en las vías que hacen parte del proyecto, así como incentivar a los
usuarios a la adopción de comportamientos seguros en su desplazamiento por las vías.
Odinsa, en conjunto con su Concesión Vial de los Llanos y la Agencia Nacional de
Infraestructura continuará trabajando de manera decidida y con un alto grado de compromiso
para aportar al desarrollo de la región e impulsar la competitividad del departamento y el país.

  • He has a solid track record in the financial and corporate sectors, where he has held roles such as Chief Financial Officer at Cementos Argos, Manager of Strategy, Mergers, and Acquisitions at Grupo Argos, Director of Energy and Natural Resources at Bancolombia, and Senior Capital Markets Associate in the investment banking division of the same institution.

  • As Chief Financial Officer of Cementos Argos, he spearheaded the SPRINT program, which has been recognized in the market for the value it has delivered to shareholders; he led the process to prepare Argos USA for its listing on the New York Stock Exchange; and he has proven experience in mergers and acquisitions.
